Rituals of Memory Summary
Kimberly M. Blaeser, author of the article “ Rituals of Memory”, talks about being a product of multiple cultures. She explains her memories of when she was a child on Memorial Day and her days at school. She says that she remembers that the Legionnaires would go to cemeteries and salute fallen soldiers. Later, they went to the indian burial grounds to salute indian warriors. Those Legionnaires honor both sides of their cultures, which makes who they are. She says that our stories, memoires, and dreams define who we are along with our culture

I first had to read the book Rituals of Memory and memorize what the book is about. Second, I had to do all of the assignments based on this book. Lastly, I had to summarize everything in the book.
2. What qualifies this paper as a summary? What are the requirements for this genre and how did you meet them?
This paper qualifies as a summary because it talks about the message the book passes on and it gives a short description of the story. The requirements for a summary paper is that you need to have your topic and you need to give a description on what the paper is about and you need to talk about the message the book passes on.
3. What piece of advice would you give someone writing a summary for the first time? Why?
A piece of advice I would give would be that summaries aren't as hard as some people say and that they are actually pretty easy to do. I would say that because sometimes people think that something is hard and they need a little reassurance.
